中山市長の1/6記者会見内容について A statement by Ishigaki mayor for the citizen on Covid-19 situation (Excerpt)

直近の１週間における石垣市の新型コロナウイルス感染者数が３１名となり拡大傾向にあることから、昨日（1/6)、中山石垣市長が、市民に対して現況報告と注意喚起のための記者会見を行いました。市長は、会見において、感染拡大傾向に歯止めをかけ、島内における医療崩壊を回避するため向こう２週間（1/7 ~ 1/20）の間の最大限の注意と実効性のある感染拡大防止策を行うよう呼びかけました。以下、市長メッセージの要点を抜粋してお知らせいたします。

Yoshitaka Nakayama, the mayor of Ishigaki City, made an official statement for Ishigaki citizens on January 6, 2021, at the city government office. In the statement, Mayor Nakayama explained the up-to-date information related to the Covid-19 infection in the city and asked them to pay the utmost attention to the current situation. He also stressed the necessary precautionary measures possibly taken by the citizen implemented from January 7, 2021 until January 20, 2021 (for two weeks) to prevent the spread of the virus and the breakdown of medical care system on the island as well. A statement by the mayor of Ishigaki City for Ishigaki  citizens concerning the Covid-19 preventive measures  possibly taken for the coming two weeks (excerpt)

1) 不要不急の外出を控える

Refrain from going out when it is unnecessary or non-urgent

2) 島外の人との飲食を伴う会合を控える

Refrain from a meeting or gathering with visitors from outside while drinking and eating

3) 高齢者との接触を控える

Refrain from meeting with elderly people

4) 大人数で集まっての会食や会合を控える

Refrain from drinking and eating in a large group of people
